Healthcare technology firm Smith & Nephew has signed a seven-year BPO deal with HP Enterprise Services. The deal covers European administration and a finance transformation project, aiming to improve the London-based firm productivity and operating flexibility. David Trollope, senior VP at Smith & Nephew, said the company planned to streamline processes while optimising the costs of operations.
HP will provide the services from delivery centres in Poland and India. The company will standardise and automate processes.
HP Enterprise Services, comprising the former EDS business, last month announced it was reducing jobs and said it was focusing on automating processes for customers.
