IBM has inked a fiveyear IT outsourcing agreement with Madhav Nagrik Sahakari, one of the leading cooperative banks in the Indian state of Rajasthan. As part of the deal, IBM is providing server and storage services, networking services, hardware and storage management software. IBM will host the entire clients IT infrastructure out of its datacentre in Bangalore, said Goldie Srivastava of IBM.
Earlier, IBM has also worked with Mahesh Sahakari Bank, another leading cooperative bank in the state of Maharastra in India to deploy the entire network infrastructure which enabled the bank to rollout its corebanking as well as work towards launching Internet and mobile banking for its customers primarily from semiurban and rural areas, added Srivastava.
The deal will reportedly allow Madhav Nagrik Sahakari to quickly expand its current network of 25 branches in Rajasthan, while providing a range of services, including internet and ATM banking.
