Pipal Research, a subsidiary of Firstsource Solutions, obtained a threeyear partnership agreement valued USD15 million or Rs.63 crores with British Telecom Global Services or BTGS to provide Knowledge Processing Outsourcing or KPO services, according to media reports.Pipal Research will provide highly innovative KPO and marketing process outsourcing MPO services to BTGS, a press release issued here stated.
The partnership agreement also specifies that in the event of company achieving certain target, the contract can be extended to over six years with the total value of the contract exceeding USD30 million or Rs.126 crores, the report said.
As per agreement terms, Pipal Research will provide KPO and Marketing Processing Outsourcing or MPO to BTGS. The partnership includes market, segment, country and customer research, proposition support and other numerical analysis work.
The released said that outsourcing of business is estimated to touch USD16 billon by 2010. Pipal Research presently offers KPO and MPO services to more than 30 global leaders across various industries. Its clients include leading global firms in financial services, technology, telecom, investment banking, consumer packaged goods and industrials.
If all the milestones are fully achieved, the total value of the contract would exceed USD 30 million over six years, Pipal said in the release.
