Microsoft plans to double its staff in outsourcing centers in Hyderabad and Bangalore in India by March 2006.
Tess Field, Microsoft's head of human resources in India, said, "We aim to ramp up the strength at the India Development Center [located in Hyderabad] by another 1,000 professionals."
The Hyderabad center, Microsoft's largest campus outside the United States provides product development and support services, and houses a global delivery center. The center is also part of three-year, $400 million investment plan for the country. Additionally, Field said that Microsoft plans to increase its Indian staff to 1,000 at its Bangalore technology center.
